The Dairy leader procures about 1 million litres of milk from over 7 lakh farmers across 7,500 villages in India. The dairy has a wide network of 6,500 distributors and close to 7,400 kiosks, across nine states in the country.
The Challenge
Milk being an essential commodity, its procurement and distribution must continue uninterrupted. Managing procurement records of 7 lakh farmers and keeping track of invoices for over 6500 distributors was an uphill task, clogging the bandwidth of the Procurement and Finance teams. The business critical processes demanded high accuracy and swift functioning. High dependency on teams and voluminous tasks limited the line of visibility for the Dairy, delaying invoicing and payment processes.
