Farming Culture is a Hyderabad-based entity dedicated to the digitization of the agriculture industry. Their mission is to help farmers enhance farming techniques and increase agricultural productivity through a dedicated application.
Farming Culture's application had an excellent idea behind it, but it was limited by a major language barrier: it could only understand English. This made the application immediately inaccessible to a majority of farmers, because they could only communicate in their native local language. To achieve its mission, the company needed to add a native language feature to the application so that it could understand the actual queries posed by its end-users' (farmers) and provide accurate and relevant information to them.
Seeing that Farming Culture had one major challenge, Cloud4C immediately set out to solve it by building and implementing a transformative solution powered by Generative AI. RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)-based approach with AWS Bedrock was used to create a seamless voice-to-text-to-voice solution. This solution was also built on a secure and scalable architecture by using a plethora of other AWS cloud-native services including AWS ECS with Fargate and Amazon RDS PostgreSQL. Ultimately, the farmers could ask questions to the application in their native language via voice recordings, and the app would generate a response in the same language.
