A specialized retail bank in the GCC, serving customers across its home market. The bank was modernizing its technology foundation, moving away from a legacy core-banking platform to Temenos while building out its cloud environment on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). With Cloud4C already supporting its data-centre exit, OCI landing zone and managed services, the next priority was making sure its new core-banking platform could withstand disruption.
Core banking sits at the heart of every banking operation, and the bankʼs new Temenos environment needed a recovery strategy to match. However, no in-country OCI disaster recovery location was available when the bankʼs cloud journey began, which left a gap in its business-continuity plans. When an in-country option became available, the bank needed a DR environment that would improve its recovery objectives and build on its existing cloud foundation, without adding another separately managed technology layer.
Building on its existing knowledge of the bankʼs OCI architecture, Cloud4C established an in-country DR environment for Temenos, complete with its own landing zone and a modern, cluster-based architecture. With both the primary and recovery environments on OCI, Cloud4C created a cloud-to-cloud DR model, all delivered by a single partner already responsible for the bankʼs managed services.
