SALTED is a multi award-winning unicorn firm born out of the shores of C-Lab, Samsung’s famed startup incubator. A prolific IoT innovator, SALTED delivers a patented Smart Insole that anyone could slip into their shoes based on feet size and custom requirements. Once fit in, the Insole, via a mobile app, delivers sportspersons and consumers detailed insights about their gait patterns, body balance, physical posture, and more to help them lead a healthy lifestyle.

The Challenge

Being a unique company venturing into sports analytics as well as digital healthcare, SALTED’s mission-critical systems needed to be frictionlessly available 24/7. A connectivity glitch or malfunction could severely impact SALTED’s widely distributed IoT or Smart Insole ecosystem. In addition, the company was aggressively pushing forward with its global ambitions that needed its product to be scalable and deployable anywhere, anytime with localized services. The need of the hour, hence, was to move the backend to a hyperscaler cloud to facilitate such high-fidelity, always available operations.

The Solution
